Anti Virus Free

Postby april_fest » Wed May 14, 2008 7:23 am

I am really fed up with my Heavy Anti-virus.

Is there a way I can use my computer that's connected to the internet and is at the same time run without a Anti Virus.

I remember reading about that in some magazine long time ago, but I ain't sure if it can be really done.

If anyone know the HOW-TOs, please let me know.

Thanks in Advance.

Not a smart idea to run w/out an anti-virus. Get AVG free edition. It's nice and light and works well.

I used Panda a while ago and Norton, but got a virus or some malware that neither caught.

I ended up paying for Cyberdefender about a year and half ago and although I got one or two pop-ups saying it blocked some malware.

I can't tell you how much memory it uses though, but I think my system is running fast enough for that it can't be too much.

You might want to concider paying for AV, I am happy that I did, the better support is worth it.
