Is norton there forever

I heard that once you download Norton to your computer its there forever and just a while ago i looked for a uninstall for but there isnt one, now why is that.

yes, some people have problems switching the active program of before uninstalling it. It was a problem for the 2003 edition

But it is un installable, the above link shows how to get rid of it.

I dont think you will have any problems with the newer versions, although i would wait till some one else on the fourm that has got the newest version comfirms.

Nortons should bomb out after 1 year and ask for More Money to continue.
Windows version is always nice,
but you should be able to uninstall anything.Look for uninstall.exe in C:\Programs\Nortons.
Or on the start menu.

I had and uninstalled Norton. Although I can't remember the year/version. So the one I had went away.

Those companies do so because not experienced users can't get rid of their programs.... I don't like such politics :x
