What is your take on AVG antivirus?

Postby ingeborgdot » Thu Feb 10, 2005 10:15 am

I have had many recommend avg as an alternative to norton. Many have said it is better. I don't know if that is true or not but does it work in the background to scan like norton? Does it live update on its own? Can you schedule it to scan on its own? What overall automation does it have? Also, what do you think about avg?????

AVG is good, but download the trial to norton or Panda and see if you like, Panda is excellent. If you want a scan to make sure there IS a virus on your computer before you go and do all this stuff goto http://pcpitstop.com/antivirus/AV.asp and click full scan, then if youve got viruses try the software.

BTW heres my thread on virus and spyware software... http://67.80.184.220:3/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1754

I am currently using AVG anti virus and I can say that it is really good to used at although the only problem I have undergone sometimes is the updating process which is really slow because of congested server.
