Linux for 64bit processors

Postby alek1724 » Thu Dec 14, 2006 12:37 pm

Being new to linux I don't really know the relative merits of one distribution over another!

Which linux distribution for 64 bit processors would you recommend?

Thanks

There is a 64 bit version of OpenSuSE...

Plus you could always just get a sourced based distro like LFS or Gentoo if you don't like the current 64 bit options. Although you should keep in mind that if you run a pure 64 bit OS you won't have access to 32 bit applications without extra effort.
