Slow Startup in windows xp

I have a toshiba satellite latop. I have windows xp in it. my friend gave me windows vista cd. When installing it get crashed. so i revert back to xp. when loading it is slower means good 10 minutes to load. i tried msconfig but it does say anythin of crashed instalation. or it is virus. my computer is crawling. what i have to do. please help

Reinstall youw windows xp once more it might then fast boot up.

Can be a problem with motherboard if is crashing while installing an os.Also,you can try on other version on Windows to see if is happend the same.

Try to reset BIOS.

This is due to system failure, simply remove the blank drive C, and then reinstall Win is the only.
