Buying New Windows XP Computer

Postby Angie » Mon Aug 04, 2008 12:06 pm

Hi all! I am looking into getting a new PC for work and email stuff. I have a limited budget so I have been looking around online to try and find a system that will get the most bang for my bucks.

I was looking at Dell but I wanted to get the computer with Windows XP and they told me they don’t make XP anymore?? I looked around online and found this system that comes with Windows XP here. http://www.cpusolutions.com/8004744cpu/ ... sp?kc=ABBS

I just wanted to make sure this was a good deal for a PC. I want to mainly do email, writing, pictures, and iTunes. My friends told me I shouldn’t need to spend much to get a good system that can do all that stuff. I am ready to buy but just wanted to check online for advice on specs. Thanks.

Don't rush into this and don't buy a Dell with XP installed.
XP is still available and supported till 2016.
Do your shopping in local city stores and speak to Sales Persons.
Look for an OEM version of XP,much cheaper.
Pay a few bucks maybe for installation, but you'll have a Full version
XP disc for reinstalling.
