This is how it went. I went to my friends house yesterday to install Norton Anti Virus 2005. The CD key didn't work for some reason so I unistalled it and it said that I had to restart his computer. Oh yeah he has a Windows ME. And when I was starting it back up the blue screen of death appeared. He was saying some third party crap was popping up a couple of days ago. And after the restart we could never ever do anything again. Then I thought we could go into safe mode and check the device manager. There was on yellow "!" so we removed it and we restarted the computer and the same thing blue screen popped up. If anyone know's what to do...please post here
He was playing a game called Xcom and a third party shut the whole game down. He had to restart the computer and he was never able to play the game again.
not even safe mode?
If you can't even access safe mode you can boot off the winME cd and there should be a option somewhere to re-copy system files without formating (haven't used ME so im not sure what it would be called off the top of my head) but if you can find that option use it.
I Have Used A Windows ME Comp. And Hate It I Am Replacing It And Blue Screen Comes A Lot The Only Way To Restore System Files Without Formatting Is To Logon And Run The 3rd Cd Which M Is HP But Look For One Labeled Application Recovery Which Ive Used Only Restores Applications System Files I Would consider Replacing It They Dont Even Use Win. Update For Windows ME
it would advice to apperceive what. franctly i'd bung the me deejay out the window and put 2k or 98 on it...me is just a antic... just thats just my assessment.
