DVD BURNER WILL WRITE, BUT NOT READ

Postby empty21 » Fri Mar 09, 2007 4:56 pm

I've used by dvd burner many times previously to copy dvds or burn them. Now, whenever i put in a burned dvd that worked before, it can't read the disc. I tried real copy dvds and they worked. I can burn fine, just can't read the dicsc. Can anyone help?. thx

I have the same problem, but playing dvd movies.
Sony's FAQ's say thats not unusuall that mine will play some and
not others. After i bought it. :(
Can you read any commercial disks, like Windows.
A disk from a friend may not have been burned to play anywhere
else but his. This is a Nero burn option.

My drive can read commercial DvDs, cds, but it cannot read the burnt dvds that i burn with it. Just 4 days ago it was working fine and for the past 3 months i have been burning dvds on my drive and they were ALWAYS able to read it after i burnt it. So the only thing it cannot read is copied dvds....

Hi, I had the same problem. A friend of mine referred me to a great tech support site that deals with these issues. They have large range of product and free live support. Just choose you drive from the list or click on live support. I am sure you will find a solution there.

Here is the page for DVD Drives Support

Hope you will find a solution

You software might not read because the toaster might only be for DVD+R, and you might have used DVDs which are are minus R.

Here are a few lists of softwares in Burning DVD:
DVD neXt Copy neXt Tech
DVD neXt Copy Ultimate
DVD neXt Copy SimpleX
1Click DVD Copy Pro
Copy To DVD
Super Clone DVD 5.0

The softwares are user-friendly and if you have any concerns about it you can contact the support team 24/7
