What do you think of Norton?

Postby virus » Fri Sep 24, 2004 11:03 am

I was just wondering what everyone thought of Norton Systemworks 2004 and Norton internet secturity. Norton products worked on our old pentuim 2 pretty well, so just trying to figure out if they have stayed with their reliablity.

Right now I am using the Norton System Works 2004 with regular updates and I haven't faced any problems regarding virus handlings. I think Norton are the best with its regular antivirus features and Live Update feature.

I use Symantec Corporate (Norton) network wide. We haven't had a virus outbreak yet.

I personally find that norton sucks. I set it up on my system and attacked it from my dad's house and it had no chance of keeping me out :S Got rid of it the same day

If you will regularly run Live Update then I think Norton is good.

Norton may be good, but to expensive when there is other good free anti-viruses out there such as AVG but I agree that if you updated it regulary you most likely won't encounter a problem, im just factoring price.

I just got Norton systemworks 2004 for free. The store had a rebate and Norton had a rebate.

Norton's internet protection program i got for $5$. Another rebate.

If you wait and shop around you can find really great prices.
