Need to start a hosting computer

How can host myowndomain.com at my personal computer?

well first you need to have a web server. There are a couple of options for that. You can pay for webhosting with a company, there are a lot of them out there so do some research. Or you can do set one up on a computer at your home.

There are two main servers that can be set up. The first is IIS or Internet Informational Services that is from microsoft. You can look at it here.
The other one is apache. They both are relatively easy to set up and run.

Once you have those set up you need to register your domian. You can do that at any number of websites, but the one that everyone seems to like and talk about is godaddy.

That is just a beginning to how you get your domain started. There are a lot of walk throughs about how to set it up, as there are many other steps iinvolved. Besides the first couple that i have listed.

Good luck with this it can be a lot of fun once it is all set up.
