Need help to get a PHP script to run on a local machine

Postby matt08 » Thu Jun 26, 2008 12:00 pm

This may be very remedial question for the talent on this board but I am in need of a little assistance

I had a guy install this site map creator on a lap top of mine a couple of years ago. It worked great for creating 4 site maps.

I know it was set up using localhost along with a bookmark on my browser.

If any one can walk me through this I would really appreciate it.

Thanks...

Could you give us a little more information to go on, things like:
1.) What server you are using to host your php, (Apache, IIS)
2.) If you didn't install php from scratch, which "package" do you have installed (Wamp, Apache2Triad, Tomcat, etc...)
3.) What is the error message that you're getting (if any) that makes you say it doesn't work.
4.) Still a little unclear on what exactly the script/program does. Are you saying the bookmark isn't there anymore?
5.) Any other information about what the sitemap script actually did for you (are you making websites that need them, are you doing it for friends, are you trying to learn how sitemap's work, etc...)
