PCI.sys file is corrupted

PCI.sys file is corrupted

Ok guys, My friend just got his computer all put together and we are having some problems. When we put in the XP pro CD in it goes through for a while then it it says "the pci.sys file is corrupted" Any ideas? thanks guys

you need to replace it with the recovery

or it could be bad memory :)

Thanks for the link but i'm a little confused about how to do that. How do you start the recovery console??

k guys, We got it figured out. For some reason the XP CD we were using wasnt working. It works fine now with home edition on it. Thanks for the help
