Phenomenon Occurring While Playing DVD

Postby saturnv » Mon Aug 08, 2005 5:58 pm

I play a DVD and every once in a while there's a black "choppy" horizontal line phenomenon that occurs.

Can anybody tell me what this is and how to fix it?

I can upload a screenshot if you need to see an example.

What software are you using to play the DVD? Try updating all your codecs for your player.

I use windvd 6 as my standard player. So I sent them an e-mail describing my problem. They sent one back that said that the cause of my problem is probably a corrupted video card driver. It went on to say get an updated driver and see if that resolves the problem.

Can someone tell me where I can find a new driver or updated driver?

To find an updated video card driver you should go to your card manufacturers web site. For instance, if you have a nvidia card visit www.nvidia.com to obtain a new driver.
