Who's smarter; a women or men?

The story goes like this:
There are 10 men and a woman were clinging to a rope hanging down from a helicopter. They decided one person had to let go or they would all die.
The woman gave a touching speech about how she would give up her life to save others.*** She said women were used to making sacrifices for their children and husbands and not recieving anything in return.
When she finished speaking all men clapped.... and fell down!

Well I'm a woman but I must admit men are smarter. It's just their 'not being diligent' to learn that usually gets in the way. Based on that 'funny' story, we can immediately deduce women are smarter but for me it's not, it just show women use common sense.

Actually statistically speaking: women have a narrower range of IQs, the lowest being above the lowest for the men. The men have a wider range but the high end is higher than that of women.
