for general use anything will do. Hardware for networks, software for a single computer. xp firewall rubbish so also anything better than that.

Would you use the nvidia firewall or the xp one? That's all I will use besides the router. I am also behind another firewall with my isp.

I have heard that hardware firewall could to damage attachments in e-mail letters! And I recommend to use a firewall with content blocker

Agree. I had this problem before, and now I use Outpost firewall instead it.
P.S. Windows firewall isn't really a "wall" :)))

I have found XP to have a nice firewall. I still use a secondary one though.

I wouldn't ever use windows firewall. I have always had problems with it. I use the free version of AVG for my AV, plus Spybot. I also have a hardware firewall, from the Esoft company. It works great and I have never had a problem with it.

Cheers!
